I am looking for a lowfat french onion soup recipe. I have tried all-recipe & the recipes are high in fat?

FRENCH ONION SOUP with 8 grams of fat

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter

1 lb onions, peeled and finely sliced

salt and pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

2 teaspoons flour

4 cups beef stock

1 cup white wine

French bread, sliced and lightly toasted

swiss cheese, sliced or shredded

parmesan cheese, fresh grated

Directions

1 In a big saucepan, melt the butter; add the onions, salt and pepper, and mustard.

2 Saute over low heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are browned (20-30 minutes).

3 Add the flour and stir until smooth.

4 Add the stock and wine; stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil.

5 Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.

6 Note: can be made in the crock-pot and cooked on LOW all day after the ingredients are browned.

7 To serve: place French bread slices in oven-proof bowls, add cheeses over the bread.

8 Pour soup over the bread and place bowls under the broiler until the cheese melts.

Note: I put the bowls on a baking sheet then place them in the oven under the broiler.I am looking for a lowfat french onion soup recipe. I have tried all-recipe %26amp; the recipes are high in fat?
This recipe is really good.

Ingredients:

1/4 c. olive oil

6 large onions

2 Tbsp flour

32 fl. oz low sodium beef broth

1 cup red wine

Reduced-fat Swiss cheese

Whole wheat rolls - cut into thick slices

Directions:

Heat oil on medium. Slice (not dice) the onions, finer is better.

Cook the onions for about 45 minutes, they should be brown.* At the beginning they will not need constant stirring, but they will during the last 10 minutes.

Add flour and let it cook with the onions 2 to 3 minutes. Add beef broth and red wine. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, then cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

During this 30 minutes, preheat the oven to 425潞F.

After the soup has finished simmering divide into bowls. Top each bowl with a slice of bread and 2 oz cheese. Place bowls in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes.I am looking for a lowfat french onion soup recipe. I have tried all-recipe %26amp; the recipes are high in fat?
